UNDER THE COVERS II
The Cure - Just Like Heaven
It must have been around the time I was a freshman in high school that I really fell madly in love with The Cure. I’d listen to Disintegration and Wish repeatedly, and always when around a girl I was crushing on. It was my deal breaker; whether or not she liked The Cure. Anyways, hope you enjoy!

I’ve got my next one planned already… Something from the roots.
(edit: and by “from the roots” I don’t mean the band “the roots”…)
Still could use more suggestions though.
Requests?
A fantastic song and an awesome cover.
As a sensitive guy I had the same policy as the OP, but I eventually learned that dating girls because they liked the Cure was as fraught with peril as dating girls because they liked Tori Amos.
If they defined themselves enough as Cure-likers for it to be a tell, there was probably something wrong with them.
I mean, I liked the Cure and there was lots wrong with me….
(I still enjoy the cure though)
Boston’s “Foreplay” performed on a Lowrey organ by a guy named Joe Bowen, who, according to the Internet, is either a Canadian Hockey announcer, a senator from Kentucky, an aspiring Chicago DJ, or none of those things.

So this is a song from the band I was in, circa 1995. It’s pretty terrible — we’re out of tune, the vocalist is flat and also sharp, and don’t even get me started on the EQ.
However
I still love how we brought the rock around 1:42, and then the song devolves into the lead singer just swearing randomly.
Ah youth!
(0 plays)Mozart - Eine kleine Nachtmusik (on period instruments)
It sounds strange because they tuned to a different key in the classical period. Kind of weird to think of all the classical music we hear that is played wrong!
